POPIA Policy & Consent

Last updated 28 July 2026

Alorey processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This page explains what we do with your information, what you are consenting to when you tick the consent box on our forms, and how to change your mind. It is maintained by Alorey and sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

Responsible party

Alorey is the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website. You can reach us — including our information officer — on 061 584 4893.

What you consent to

By ticking the consent box or submitting a form on this site, you agree that Alorey may:

  • Collect and process the personal information you give us — name, mobile and WhatsApp number, email, delivery address, order details, and (for agents) ID number and payout details.
  • Contact you by SMS, WhatsApp, phone or email about your application, orders, deliveries, commissions and payouts.
  • Send you marketing about Alorey products, promotions and giveaways, until you opt out.
  • Share the minimum necessary information with our hosting, payment, SMS, courier and payout partners so they can perform their service.
  • Where you apply as an agent with a referral code, link your account to the agent who referred you and show them your first name, agent code and sales totals for commission purposes — never your ID number, address, banking or payout details.

How we process information (POPIA conditions)

  • Purpose limitation — we only use your information for the purposes listed above, not for anything unrelated.
  • Minimality — we ask only for what we need to fulfil orders, run the agent programme and pay commissions.
  • Accuracy — you may correct your details at any time by messaging us.
  • Security safeguards — access is restricted to authorised Alorey accounts, data travels over encrypted connections, and our database enforces per-user access rules.
  • Retention — order, commission and payout records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires; other information is deleted when it is no longer needed.
  • Openness — this page and our Privacy Policy set out what we do.

Special personal information and children

We do not knowingly collect special personal information such as health, religious or political information. Our site and the agent programme are for people aged 18 and older; we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Direct marketing

Marketing messages are only sent where you have consented or where you are an existing customer. Every message gives you a way to stop — reply STOP or message us on 061 584 4893 and we will remove you from the list.

Your rights under POPIA

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Ask us to correct or delete information that is wrong, outdated or no longer needed.
  • Object to processing, or withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) if you believe we have not handled your information lawfully.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened, and we may still keep records we are legally required to keep (for example completed orders and payouts).

How to exercise your rights

Message us on 061 584 4893 with your name and the request. We will confirm your identity before acting on it and respond within a reasonable time.
